BEIJING, Aug. 22 -- The Coast Guard of east China's Fujian Province conducted routine law enforcement patrols in the waters near Kinmen on Wednesday, according to the China Coast Guard (CCG).
As the summer fishing moratorium ended, a large number of fishing vessels have resumed operations. The Fujian Coast Guard has been strengthening law enforcement patrols in the waters near Kinmen since this month.
The Fujian Coast Guard will further intensify control over relevant waters to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests, as well as the life and property safety of Chinese fishermen, including those from the Taiwan region.
